Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for making products “fly-off the shelf.” This role is not about demos or presenting product features (although these may sometimes occur). Rather, this role is the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing and to achieve results.


You will collaborate with our marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand. An attention to detail and an eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to grasp and present our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems. You are committed to tracking performance, and have the data to prove what’s working and what isn’t.


In addition to the marketing team, you will regularly collaborate with product managers and sales channels; it’s a balancing act that requires strong diplomatic skills, including knowing when to push back and when to dive in.


Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct market research and detailed sales-ready competitive analysis for Miovision solution areas
  • Develop value-based product positioning and pricing
  • Leverage industry experience and strategic planning to develop actionable product marketing vision and execute growth strategies against Miovision solution areas
  • Develop and conduct research, develop and manage launch plans and timelines, communications, training, deliverables, and reporting related to Miovision solution areas
  • Be the expert on market requirements and segmentation details/definitions necessary for product and content strategy, sales enablement, and field marketing execution
  • Communicate product/solution messaging to customers, prospects, analysts, journalists, and other market influencers, and present at leading industry events and conferences
  • Develop sales enablement programs, presentations, and tools clearly communicate intended value propositions and support the selling process


Skills/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B hardware/software/SaaS product marketing, marketing, or sales experience
  • Self starter who will take ownership of projects to bring them to completion, pulling in resources from across the company as needed or required
  • Ability to be flexible on a day to day basis with task priority and manage parallel deliverables effectively required
  • Understanding of traffic, networking and Smart Cities would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Natural curiosity with the ability to uncover customer/prospect needs through root cause analysis
  • Ability to travel as needed
