Head of Product Marketing

Are you an experienced solutions or product marketing specialist who can deliver go-to-market plans for new B2B technology products with specific experience in the HR & Payroll space?


In this newly created role of Head of Product Marketing, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will own the go-to-market strategy for all Zellis products and services including sales enablement, internal and external collateral development, customer communication and messaging amongst.


We’re looking for someone with a relevant marketing qualification and proven product marketing experience. To be successful you’ll be highly experienced in product/solutions marketing for technology in the HR & Payroll space, with a track record of launching B2B SaaS products to generate demand across prospects and existing customers.


We're happy to consider candidates based remotely across the UK, with willingness to travel occasionally to our Peterborough office.


Key responsibilities


Sales Enablement: Building a suite of collateral, case studies, talk tracks and testimonials to support sales to new and existing customers.

  • Understanding and supporting our sales channels; training them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; developing internal tools and external collateral and teaching them how and when to use it.


Go-to-market (GTM): Bringing expertise in GTM campaigns, working in conjunction with Demand Generation you will develop the messaging and value propositions to bring new and existing products to market to ensure the highest return on investment.

  • Value Proposition and Messaging - Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing Communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas and differentiates Zellis from our competitors.
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.


Market intelligence: You’ll own all competitive intelligence and explore new Analyst Relations opportunities. Additionally, be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.


Competitive intelligence: Understand the competitive landscape - be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned. Own and rollout battle cards.


Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements and written works.


Skills and experience required


  • Extensive experience (10+ years) of product marketing, coupled with some experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research).
  • Demonstrable previous experience in the HR & Payroll space.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and articulate with exceptional presentation skills.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with customers, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. You’ll be a true team player!
  • Pragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) III or higher preferred.
