Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking a(n) experienced Competitive Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the Vice President of Growth Operations, within Terran Orbitals Sales and Business Development Division. The primary responsibility of the Competitive Intelligence Analyst is to monitor and provide timely analysis of competitive movements in the market to enable key members of the organization to make sound business decisions and to implement rigorous and traceable price-to-win and probability of win assessment processes.

This position will be in either Melbourne, FL or Irvine, CA.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to the Strategy & Business Development (S&BD) organization by providing market intelligence expertise, market assessments, price forecasts, economic valuations, dashboards and related analytics
  • Develop market and competitive intelligence calculations and reporting tools, deliver timely and relevant ad hoc reporting, and act as subject matter expert for market and competitive intelligence information, promotions & campaigns and industry trends for key business initiatives as required
  • Assist with creation of sector research from concept to data analysis and written prose on a variety of topics including earnings, sub-sectors, competitor corporate behavior and geographic differences
  • Develop and articulate Price-To-Win, price strategy, risk mitigation, and competitive landscape dialogue with Capture Team Leads and senior leadership to provide sound recommendations
  • Support competitive assessments, teaming strategies and agreements, price-to-win strategy, and the development of a compelling offer to do business.
  • Conduct research and use information compiled by the staff to determine the best price and the best solution for the bid.
  • Provide key inputs for BAP gate reviews and for Bid Decision Reviews (BDRs)


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, engineering, or program management
  • 4 years of management experience
  • Strong understanding of satellites, space sensors and ground systems used for space assets
  • Significant experience with the Intelligence Communities, DOD and Civil agencies.
  • Experience as proposal manager, and/or capture manager
  • Experience as a sales representative or member of a capture team.
  • ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIATORS
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences or Business Administration
  • Experience working in a distributed, matrixed environment, able to influence senior leaders and engage employees that are not in a direct reporting structure
  • Practical experience with the various contracting tools and associated regulations employed by DoD to acquire non-traditional solutions which feature emerging commercial technologies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the DoD contract life cycle, contract types and FAR/DFARS
  • Experience with cost and budget constrained space programs
